Since its founding in 1918, Sanwa Tajima has contributed to the development of modern and contemporary architecture, both domestically and overseas, as a pioneer in architectural metalwork. In addition to creating products from stainless steel, copper alloys such as bronze and brass, and aluminum—including custom-made fittings, ornamental metalwork for interiors and exteriors, and other architectural metalwork—we pursue a broad range of activities, including the restoration and repair of the metal parts of modern and contemporary buildings and other metal artworks.

History of
Sanwa Tajima

1918 Manufacture of the first architectural metalworks and metal artworks in Japan begins under the leadership of Junzo Tajima (founder and first president).
1938 Reorganized as a joint-stock company
1954 Osaka branch Office established
1957 Nagoya branch Office established
1961 Moroyama Factory opens at Moroyamamachi, Saitama.
1965 Nagoya Factory opens at Inuyama city, Aichi.
1979 Main factory moved to Moroyama Factory and designated as Saitama Factory.
1999 Becomes a group company of Sanwa Shutter Corporation. Head Office moves to Ikebukuro, Toshima-ku, Tokyo.
2006 As part of the reorganization of Sanwa Shutter Corporation, Company renamed Sanwa Tajima Corporation and integrates production and sales.
2007 With the reorganization of Sanwa Shutter Corporation, Sanwa Tajima becomes a Sanwa Holdings Corporation group company.
2018 Marks its 100th year in business
2025 Merged with group companies Yoshida Seisakusho Co., Ltd. and Metalwork Kansai Co., Ltd.
